Structured Decision Making® (SDM)
While employed as User Interface Designer at the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, I was the sole interface designer for this web-based application that guides social workers in decision making for child welfare cases. I established visual standards and followed these standards in designing and building the user interface. I worked with the development team in establishing functionality rules and in implementing them consistently. The visual appearance and functionality rules became the established standard for the SDM application as it was iterated with customizations for numerous child protective services agencies across the United States. I played a key role in quality assurance by identifying, tracking, and resolving bugs prior to each release. I also created all application training materials and performed onsite and interactive training for end users.
